Expertise You Can Trust
WHERE INNOVATION MEETS PERSONALIZED CARE
At STRENGE Spine Center, we understand the profound impact that back pain can have on every aspect of your life. With a commitment to helping you understand your condition, we go beyond boundaries to relieve your pain and restore your life by putting your well-being at the center of everything we do.
SPINAL CONDITIONS
SPINAL STENOSIS
Spinal stenosis is a spinal condition that refers to the narrowing of the spinal canal. This narrowing makes for less room for the nerves in the spinal canal, and when the nerves have less space to move freely, they can become swollen or inflamed, which causes pain. Spinal stenosis can become apparent at a young age or it can occur as we grow older. Patients may feel a sharp, jabbing pain in the legs while walking if they are suffering from this condition.
RADICULOPATHY
Radiculopathy is a pinched or irritated nerve in the spine that causes pain, numbness, or weakness that then radiates out into the body and/or limbs. Radiculopathy can sometimes resolve on its own, or, this condition can create a constant radiating pain and weakness in the body. This chronic pain can begin to have an effect on one’s day-to-day living.
DEGENERATIVE
DISC DISEASE
There are a number of conditions that can cause chronic pain in the spine. Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) can also cause weakness, tingling, numbness, muscle spasms, or unexpected flare-ups of pain. Medication and/or minimally invasive procedures and surgical interventions can all assist in alleviating pain caused by this condition. X-rays and MRI imaging may be used to help your doctor make a full assessment of this spinal condition.
HERNIATED DISC
Herniated discs are very common and mainly caused by the normal “wear and tear” that comes with aging. Herniated discs are important to treat both effectively and in a timely manner, because when they are left untreated, more serious complications can develop. While many patients find their condition improves with physical therapy and medication, long-term and long-lasting pain relief may only truly be attained with surgical intervention.
SCOLIOSIS
Scoliosis is an abnormal curvature of the spine, causing the spine to form a “C” or “S” shape. It can occur in patients just before puberty, but can also affect adults, too. This condition, though treatable, can be a very painful and debilitating condition that ranges from a minor curve to a significant deformity.
KYPHOSIS
Kyphosis is an abnormal curvature of the spine – a forward, or rounding of the back, usually due to weakness in the spinal bones. Kyphosis is very common, but is treatable, despite the nature of this often chronic condition. This condition occurs when the vertebral bones, which are shaped like cylinders, become more wedge shaped and cause instability in the spine.
BACK PAIN
One of our main goals at STRENGE Spine is to maintain the spine’s natural movement and flexibility. Many people live with chronic back and neck pain, but there are various options available to treat these conditions instead. By offering patients medications, physical therapy treatments, and minimally invasive surgical techniques (like ADR), our patients have a better chance to regain their mobility and their quality of life. Chronic back pain does not need to be a daily way of life.
